The disclosed secondary battery 10 comprises a first electrode 14b which has a long sheet-like first collector, a second electrode 14a which has a long sheet-like second collector, and a separator which is between the first electrode 14b and the second electrode 14a. The first electrode 14b and the second electrode 14a are wound with the separator therebetween and constitute an electrode group 14. The secondary battery 10 further comprises a conductive member 16 which is electrically connected to the second electrode 14a, and an insulating plate 23 which is provided between the electrode group 14 and the conductive member 16 and which insulates at least the first electrode 14b and the conductive member 16. The insulating plate 23 is has a protruding part 23a that protrudes toward the electrode group 14 and is provided oppositely from the innermost peripheral region of the electrode group 14.
