Some embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and device for generating a scene description file. The method comprises: when a touch media file is comprised in a three-dimensional scene to be rendered, determining types of touch material attributes of the touch media file; and when the type of a first touch material attribute of the touch media file is reference, adding an accessor index syntax element into moving picture experts group (MPEG) touch of a target node description module of a scene description file of said three-dimensional scene, and setting the value of the accessor index syntax element to be an index value of an accessor description module corresponding to a touch media accessor, wherein the target node description module is a node description module corresponding to a node comprising a target three-dimensional grid carrying the first touch material attribute, and the touch media accessor is an accessor for accessing decoded data of the touch media file.
