Summary:The present invention provides a method for assessing the operational state of a vanadium ion battery, the method comprising carrying out standard cycles repeatedly a predetermined number of times, the standard cycles each comprising charging, in a predetermined temperature range, one or more among a vanadium ion battery cell, monoblock, module, battery pack, or battery system, up until an end-of-charge condition, and following the charging, discharging same up until an end-of-discharge condition, wherein, if the time interval between the end of a first standard cycle and the start of a second standard cycle, among the standard cycles repeated the predetermined number of times, is equal to or longer than a first period, then standard cycles corresponding to an additional number of times are repeated in addition to the predetermined number of times. La présente invention concerne un procédé d'évaluation de l'état de fonctionnement d'une batterie au vanadium-ion, le procédé comprenant la réalisation de cycles standard de manière répétée un nombre prédéterminé de fois, les cycles standard comprenant chacun la charge, dans une plage de température prédéterminée, d'un ou de plusieurs parmi : une cellule de batterie au vanadium-ion, un monobloc, un module, un bloc-batterie ou un système de batterie, jusqu'à une condition de fin de charge, et après la charge, la décharge de celui-ci/ceux-ci jusqu'à une condition de fin de décharge.
