Provided is a new semiconductor device. The present invention is configured such that: a transmission unit has a first transistor; the transmission unit has a source follower function for outputting a first potential to a source or a drain of the first transistor in accordance with a potential inputted to a gate of the first transistor; a generation unit has a function for generating a second potential according to a potential of a first wiring; an input unit has a function for holding a voltage corresponding to a threshold voltage of the first transistor and a function for transmitting, to the gate of the first transistor, a potential according to the potential of the first wiring; and an output unit has a function for transmitting the first potential to a second wiring and a function for transmitting the second potential to the second wiring.
