LEAK DETECTION METHOD WITH TIME DELAY FOR DETECTING A LEAK THAT AFFECTS A TYRE CURING MEMBRANE OR THE INFLATION CIRCUIT THEREOF

The invention relates to a method for detecting a leak in a curing membrane within a facility (1) for curing tyres (2) in a mould (3), the method comprising, after opening the mould (3), a test step (S200) which comprises a sub-step (S201) of partial re-inflation during which the curing membrane (10...

Summary:The invention relates to a method for detecting a leak in a curing membrane within a facility (1) for curing tyres (2) in a mould (3), the method comprising, after opening the mould (3), a test step (S200) which comprises a sub-step (S201) of partial re-inflation during which the curing membrane (10) is reinflated and, when the internal pressure prevailing in the curing membrane reaches a predetermined threshold, referred to as the "test pressure" (P test), the curing membrane (10) is isolated and a predetermined time delay (d_202) is allowed to elapse, at the end of which the value of the internal pressure, referred to as the "reference pressure" (P_ref), is measured, followed by a sub-step (S203) of observation during which changes to the internal pressure relative to the reference pressure (P_ref) are observed in order to identify a leak situation.
