L'invention concerne une poudre d'alumine sphérique dans laquelle une distribution en volume fréquence de la taille de particule telle que mesurée par un procédé de diffraction et de diffusion laser de type humide, lorsque la taille de particule à laquelle la valeur cumulée passe à 10 % est appelée D10, la taille de particule à laquelle la valeur cumulée passe à 50 % est appelée D50 et la taille de particule à laquelle la valeur cumulée passe à 97 % est appelée D97, (D97-D10)/D50 est égale à 4,2 à 20,0. 本発明の球状アルミナ粉末は、湿式によるレーザー回折散乱法で測定される体積頻度粒度分布において、累積値が10%となる粒子径をD10、累積値が50%となる粒子径をD50、累積値が97%となる粒子径をD97としたとき、(D97-D10)/D50が4.2以上20.0以下をみたすものである。
