Un chalumeau de soudage comprend une pointe de contact et un guide d'électrode à fil s'étendant de manière distale par rapport à la pointe de contact. Le guide d'électrode en fil comprend une gaine externe métallique et une pluralité d'isolants électriques en forme d'anneau empilés axialement à l'intérieur de la gaine externe métallique de façon à former un alésage de réception d'électrode en fil central à travers la pluralité d'isolants électriques en forme d'anneau.
