Summary:The present disclosure provides a mounting mat for mounting a pollution control element in a housing, comprising: (a) an inorganic fibrous mat having a first major surface and a second major surface; (b) at least one first organic surface additive comprised in the first major surface of the inorganic fibrous mat; (c) optionally, at least one second organic surface additive different from the at least one first organic coating comprised in the second major surface of the inorganic fibrous mat; wherein the first surface of the inorganic fibrous mat exhibits a lower friction coefficient than the second major surface. La présente invention concerne un tapis de montage pour monter un élément de lutte contre la pollution dans un boîtier, lequel tapis de montage comprend : (a) un tapis fibreux inorganique ayant une première surface principale et une seconde surface principale ; (b) au moins un premier additif de surface organique compris dans la première surface principale du tapis fibreux inorganique ; (c) de manière facultative, au moins un second additif de surface organique différent du ou des premiers revêtements organiques compris dans la seconde surface principale du tapis fibreux inorganique ; la première surface du tapis fibreux inorganique présentant un coefficient de frottement plus faible que la seconde surface principale.
