This authentication security device comprises: a control unit that generates a request message that includes a command, an authentication request, and a security mode instruction, on the basis of information, which pertains to a terminal, acquired from a management device; a transmitting unit that transmits the request message to the terminal; and a receiving unit that receives, from the terminal, a response message that includes data acquired in accordance with the command and an authentication response generated in accordance with the authentication request, the response message being subjected to integrity protection and encrypted on the basis of authentication information previously held by the terminal.
