Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices and methods for initial access in a communication network. In an aspect, a terminal device receives a configuration related to a first initial uplink (UL) bandwidth part (BWP) and a second initial UL BWP from a network device. The terminal device determines the second initial UL BWP based on the configuration. The second initial UL BWP comprises a UL subband. In this way, the UL subband can be used for SBFD aware UEs during the initial access.
