The electrolyte for a lithium-sulfur secondary battery comprises a lithium salt, a non-aqueous solvent, and an additive, and a first mixing energy (Gmix1) of the electrolyte and dilithio pertetrasulfide (Li2S4), a second mixing energy (Gmix2) of the electrolyte and dilithio perhexasulfide (Li2S6), and a third mixing energy (Gmix3) of the electrolyte and dilithio peroctasulfide (Li2S8) satisfy a predetermined relationship.
