Summary:The present invention generally relates to a process for the synthesis of selectively alkylated cyclodextrins. More particularly, the present invention relates to a process of cyclodextrin alkylation in a selective manner yielding hexakis(2,6-di-O-alkyl)-alpha-cyclodextrin, heptakis(2,6-di-O-alkyl)-beta-cyclodextrin and octakis(2,6-di-O-alkyl)-gamma-cyclodextrin. La présente invention concerne de manière générale un procédé de synthèse de cyclodextrines alkylées de manière sélective. Plus particulièrement, la présente invention concerne un procédé d'alkylation de cyclodextrine de manière sélective permettant d'obtenir de l'hexakis(2,6-di-O-alkyl)-alpha-cyclodextrine, de l'heptakis(2,6-di-O-alkyl)-bêta-cyclodextrine et de l'octakis(2,6-di-O-alkyl)-gamma-cyclodextrine.
