There is provided a method for managing a request for preparation of a beverage. The method is performed by a first entity. The method comprises assigning (110) a first identifier to the request. The request is generated at a user equipment. The method comprises transmitting (112) a message towards a second entity. The message comprises the first identifier. The first identifier allows the first entity to determine whether or not a status update, generated by a domestic appliance that is to prepare the beverage, corresponds to a status update on the preparation of the beverage. L'invention concerne un procédé de gestion d'une requête de préparation de boisson. Le procédé est mis en œuvre par une première entité. Le procédé comprend l'attribution (110) d'un premier identifiant à la requête. La requête est générée au niveau d'un équipement utilisateur. Le procédé comprend la transmission (112) d'un message vers une seconde entité. Le message comprend le premier identifiant. Le premier identifiant permet à la première entité de déterminer si une mise à jour d'état, générée par un appareil électroménager qui doit préparer la boisson, correspond à une mise à jour d'état sur la préparation de la boisson.
