An appearance inspection method for goods by which appearance of a plurality of objects to be inspected is inspected using an appearance inspection device comprising: a flat tray (1) provided on the surface with a plurality of colorless and transparent pockets (2) for separately placing the plurality objects to be inspected; first cameras (4, 5) that are installed separately on the front and back sides of the tray (1) and are capable of simultaneously capturing images of the plurality of objects to be inspected from the front and back sides of the tray (1); and a second camera (9) capable of capturing images from four sides other than the front and back sides, wherein each pocket has a support (3) that contacts the object to be inspected and supports the object to be inspected along the outer periphery of the object to be inspected when the object to be inspected is placed in the pocket, a space is formed in an area that does not contact the object to be inspected, and images of the objects to be inspected are captured from four sides by the second camera (9) after the images of the plurality of objects to be inspected have been simultaneously captured from the front and back sides of the tray by the first cameras (4, 5).
