This invention relates to a process for the production of polyarylene(ether)sulfones having high molecular weight and excellent purity as well as low content of undesired volatiles and a re- duced content of cyclic oligomers, the polyarylene(ether)sulfones resulting from the inventive process, as well as parts made from the inventive polyarylene(ether)sulfones such as membranes. La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la production de polyarylène(éther)sulfones ayant un poids moléculaire élevé et une excellente pureté ainsi qu'une faible teneur en matières volatiles non souhaitées et une teneur réduite en oligomères cycliques, les polyarylène(éther)sulfones résultant du procédé de l'invention, ainsi que des pièces fabriquées à partir des polyarylène(éther)sulfones de l'invention telles que des membranes.
