Summary:A method for preparing selenium-enriched modified biochar used for adsorbing cadmium. Selenium-enriched rice husks are impregnated in a hydrochloric acid solution of CaCl2 for 20-24 hours, and are dried and carbonized, the carbonization temperature being 300-700 ℃, and the carbonization time being 0.5-1.5 hours. The selenium-rich biochar prepared by the present invention has a specific surface area of 31.79 m2/g, and after modification, the selenium element in the biochar conducts a special function in promoting adsorption of Cd2+. In cooperation with other multiple mechanisms, the adsorption performance for heavy metal Cd2+ in wastewater is improved, and the selenium-enriched modified biochar has an adsorption capacity of 51.7 mg/g on Cd2+ with a concentration of 100 mg/L.
