Summary:A method and system for purifying a carbon dioxide feed stream in which the carbon dioxide feed stream is cooled and partially condensed to remove water upstream of an adsorber to produce a dry carbon dioxide stream. The dry carbon dioxide stream is further cooled and partially condensed in a carbon dioxide purification unit to form a carbon dioxide product stream. Excess refrigeration duty from the carbon dioxide purification unit is used to cool the carbon dioxide feed stream. L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de purification d'un flux d'alimentation en dioxyde de carbone dans lesquels le flux d'alimentation en dioxyde de carbone est refroidi et partiellement condensé pour éliminer l'eau en amont d'un adsorbeur afin de produire un flux de dioxyde de carbone sec. Le flux de dioxyde de carbone sec est en également refroidi et partiellement condensé dans une unité de purification de dioxyde de carbone afin de former un flux de produit de dioxyde de carbone. La charge de réfrigération en excès provenant de l'unité de purification de dioxyde de carbone est utilisée pour refroidir le flux d'alimentation en dioxyde de carbone.
