The present invention provides a technology capable of appropriately forming a plurality of display regions each capable of displaying a virtual image, regarding the technology of a head-up display device (HUD device). This HUD device comprises: an image formation unit PGU1; an optical element 15 that is provided in the image formation unit PGU1 in order to generate image light divided into two lights, which are first image light and second image light; a first folding mirror (M21) that reflects the first image light; a second folding mirror (M22) that reflects the second image light; and a mirror M1 that reflects the first image light from the first folding mirror and the second image light from the second folding mirror. The HUD device forms a first display region capable of displaying a first virtual image on the basis of the first image light from the mirror M1, and forms a second display region capable of displaying a second virtual image on the basis of the second image light from the mirror M1.
