The method comprises: determining a data type of data to be transmitted; if the data type is a video file type, obtaining code rate information of said data; obtaining a current network status; adjusting a current packet sending rate according to the current network status and the code rate information to obtain an adjusted packet sending rate; and transmitting said data according to the adjusted packet sending rate.
