Summary:An electrochemical sensor apparatus for introducing a needle electrode into the skin of a subject to contact a biological fluid or a tissue in the subject and detect a target analyte, and methods of producing the apparatus. The apparatus has a movable portion which urges the needle electrode in the subject's skin and at least two needle electrodes are selected from a library to provide the apparatus with a multiplexing capacity. Appareil de capteur électrochimique pour introduire une électrode aiguille dans la peau d'un sujet pour entrer en contact avec un fluide biologique ou un tissu chez le sujet et détecter un analyte cible, et procédés de production de l'appareil. L'appareil comporte une partie mobile qui pousse l'électrode aiguille dans la peau du sujet et au moins deux électrodes aiguilles sont sélectionnées dans une bibliothèque pour fournir à l'appareil une capacité de multiplexage.
