A method for providing item customization-related information in an electronic device, according to various embodiments of the present disclosure, may comprise the steps of: checking information about an item being sold in an item selling service corresponding to a user's selection; checking whether the item is a component selection target item; if the item is a component selection target item, checking first information including information on at least one component selectable for the item; identifying a first component from among the at least one component on the basis of the first information; checking a selectable sub-item list corresponding to the first component; receiving the user's first selection input for the sub-item list; and providing information on the item in which the selected sub-item identified on the basis of the first selection input is applied to the first component.
