The present invention relates disperse azo dyes based on BON-acid (2-hydroxynaphthalene-3-carboxylic acid) of the general formula (1) a process for the preparation of such azo dyes, a dye mixture comprising such azo dyes, the use of such azo dyes in dyeing or printing semi-synthetic or synthetic hydrophobic fibre materials and to a semi-synthetic or synthetic hydrophobic fibre material dyed or printed by said azo dyes or said dye mixture. La présente invention concerne des colorants azoïques dispersés à base d'acide BON (acide 2-hydroxynaphtalène-3-carboxylique) de formule générale (1), un procédé de préparation de tels colorants azoïques, un mélange de colorants comprenant de tels colorants azoïques, l'utilisation de tels colorants azoïques dans la teinture ou l'impression de matériaux fibreux hydrophobes semi-synthétiques ou synthétiques et un matériau fibreux hydrophobe semi-synthétique ou synthétique coloré ou imprimé à l'aide desdits colorants azoïques ou dudit mélange de colorants.
