The present disclosure relates to a method for selecting a candidate bearing component (1, 2, 3) to be re-manufactured, comprising: - performing a non-destructive inspection of at least one portion (10) of a bearing component (1, 2, 3), wherein the non-destructive inspection comprises detecting subsurface damages (12) in the at least one portion (10), thereby obtaining a result indicative of an effective damage in the at least one portion (10), - calculating a remaining life of the bearing component (1, 2, 3) based on a predetermined load value and on the result indicative of the effective damage in the at least one portion (10), and - selecting the bearing component (1, 2, 3) as the candidate bearing component to be re-manufactured when the calculated remaining life is within a predefined range. The disclosure further relates to a method for re-manufacturing a bearing component and to a bearing component. La présente divulgation concerne un procédé de sélection d'un composant de palier candidat (1, 2, 3) à refabriquer, comprenant : - la réalisation d'une inspection non destructive d'au moins une partie (10) d'un composant de palier (1, 2, 3), l'inspection non destructive comprenant la détection de dommages (12) sous la surface dans la ou les parties (10), ce qui permet d'obtenir un résultat révélateur d'un endommagement effectif dans la ou les parties (10), - le calcul d'une durée de vie restante du composant de palier (1, 2, 3) sur la base d'une valeur de charge prédéfinie et du résultat révélateur de l'endommagement effectif dans la ou les parties (10), et - la sélection du composant de palier (1, 2, 3) en tant que composant de palier candidat à refabriquer lorsque la durée de vie restante calculée se situe dans une plage prédéfinie. La divulgation concerne en outre un procédé de refabrication d'un composant de palier et un composant de palier.
