A universal computer networking system (uNET) provides serverless mutual authentication, autonomous enforcement of group membership and privileges, automated and distributed infrastructure, and address portability. uNet employs pre-distributed keys for serverless authentication between any two nodes prior to the exchange of network traffic, including control traffic. These keys are distributed out-of-band to participating nodes and used in a handshake protocol to establish authentication without generating or requiring additional network traffic.
