Summary:The present invention relates to a battery module and a battery pack comprising same, the battery module comprising: battery cell stacks each composed of a plurality of battery cells; a module housing accommodating one or more of the battery cell stacks disposed along an electric field direction; a high voltage (HV) connector for electrically connecting battery modules; a low voltage (LV) assembly for sensing the voltage and temperature of the plurality of battery cells; insulating oil for cooling the plurality of battery cells; and a cooling port for the entry and exit of the insulating oil, wherein the insulating oil directly cools the plurality of battery cells while flowing inside the module housing. The battery module has improved cooling efficiency and improved energy density.
