A channel estimation method of a wireless communication system using a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) according to the present invention may comprise the steps of: generating a training pattern; transmitting the training pattern to a receiver by means of a transmitter; calculating an RIS pattern on the basis of the training pattern and a reception signal for the training pattern; and controlling an RIS on the basis of the calculated RIS pattern.
