According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for producing hybrid films from cellulose nanofibrils and cellulose nanocrystals complementing each other in film forming ability and performance of the produced hybrid films. Selon un aspect donné à titre d'exemple de la présente invention, l'invention concerne un procédé de production de films hybrides à partir de nanofibrilles de cellulose et de nanocristaux de cellulose complémentaires les uns des autres en ce qui concerne la capacité de formation de film et les performances des films hybrides produits.
