Summary: | An insulation materials performance evaluation method for a motor, which comprises at least one among a short term compatibility evaluation method and/or a long term compatibility evaluation method, and insulation materials comprising mica tape and an impregnation varnish. The short term compatibility evaluation method comprises: simultaneously placing a sample to be tested and a control sample at a first preset temperature; after a preset duration, replacing the mica tape in the sample to be tested, and repeatedly carrying out the current step a preset number of times; and measuring the viscosity and gel time before each replacement of the mica tape. The long term compatibility evaluation method comprises: placing an insulation sample having an iron core at a second preset temperature and simultaneously applying a voltage UM, and measuring the electrical breakdown time of the insulation sample having an iron core.
