Summary: | A storage tank for large-scale molten salt energy storage. Hot salt is located at the upper portion of the storage tank due to low density, cold salt is located at the lower portion of the storage tank due to high density, and there is a temperature gradient layer, i.e., a thermocline, in the middle of the storage tank. By means of salt distributors and pipeline systems, during heat storage, the hot salt enters a tank body from a hot flat-plate salt distributor (4) through a hot salt pipeline system (3), the cold salt is pumped out of the tank body by a cold salt pump (5), the thermocline gradually moves downwards, and when the thermocline gets close to a cold flat-plate salt distributor (7), the heat storage process is ended; during heat release, the hot salt is pumped out of the tank body by a hot salt pump (2), the cold salt enters the tank body from the cold flat-plate salt distributor through a cold salt pipeline system (6), the thermocline gradually moves upwards, and when the thermocline gets close to |
