A device for providing light and sound to a surrounding area configured to output sound and light in combination of a breathing cadence to calm a subject. The device may include a light configured to emit light at varying levels of intensity in synchronization with the varying volumes of the sound output by the device. The intensity of light output by the device may increase during an inhalation period of the cadence and decrease during an exhalation period of the cadence. The cadence may vary to assist in calming, or detect the user's breathing pattern and automatically provide an optimal light and sound combination to achieve calming. The sound output by the device may be breathing sounds, such as white noise, pink noise, or Brown noise mimicking a breathing pattern or recording of a breath or any other sound considered calming. La présente invention concerne un dispositif qui permet de fournir de la lumière et du son à une zone environnante et qui est conçu pour émettre du son et de la lumière en combinaison avec une cadence respiratoire afin de calmer un sujet.
