This information processing system comprises: one or more transmitters that can transmit a first signal; a plurality of sensor devices that can receive the first signal, that are arranged at different positions, and that can measure a prescribed physical quantity; and an information processing device that can acquire, from the sensor devices, the physical quantities measured by the sensor devices and second signals corresponding to the first signals transmitted from the transmitters. The information processing device is provided with: a storage unit that stores first association information associating positions where the transmitters are arranged, the first signals transmitted from the transmitters, and the second signals corresponding to the first signals; and an inference unit that identifies, on the basis of the first association information stored in the storage unit and from among the transmitters, a transmitter that transmits a first signal corresponding to a second signal transmitted from a sensor device, to infer the existence of the sensor device that transmits the second signal near said transmitter.
