Disclosed is a display device comprising a wireless communication unit including a wireless communication circuit, an input/output unit including an input/output circuit, a display, a memory for storing one or more instructions, and at least one processor that executes the one or more instructions stored in the memory to: receive a power-on signal via the wireless communication unit or the input/output unit; in response to the power-on signal, control the display to display a first screen; while the first screen is displayed, analyze information on a source image received from a peripheral device via the input/output unit, to determine whether a control operation is occurring by a control device corresponding to the peripheral device; and on the basis of determination that the control operation is occurring by the control device, terminate the first screen and control the display and the device to display a second screen including the source image.
