This network node includes: a reception unit that receives, from unified data management (UDM), a notification indicating updating of subscriber information which includes information indicating a network slice associated with information indicating a provision period for the network slice; and a control unit that determines, on the basis of the information indicating the provision period, whether or not a protocol data unit (PDU) session associated with the network slice is being activated. The control unit releases the PDU session if the PDU session is not activated, without releasing the PDU session if the PDU session is activated.
