Summary:A process for improving the quality of a crude pyrolysis oil originating from a pyrolysis of plastic waste is provided, the process comprising providing a crude pyrolysis oil originating from the pyrolysis of plastic waste, adjusting the pH value of the crude pyrolysis oil, resulting in a pretreated crude pyrolysis oil, performing a solid-liquid-separation of solid components and liquid components of the pretreated crude pyrolysis oil and/or subjecting the pretreated crude pyrolysis oil to a liquid-liquid-separation. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant d'améliorer la qualité d'une huile de pyrolyse brute provenant d'une pyrolyse de déchets plastiques, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à fournir une huile de pyrolyse brute provenant de la pyrolyse de déchets plastiques, ajuster la valeur de pH de l'huile de pyrolyse brute, ce qui permet d'obtenir une huile de pyrolyse brute prétraitée, réaliser une séparation solide-liquide de composants solides et de composants liquides de l'huile de pyrolyse brute prétraitée et/ou soumettre l'huile de pyrolyse brute prétraitée à une séparation liquide-liquide.
