The electronic device can be configured to: identify at least one first channel set in order to perform first communication; identify at least one second channel overlapping with the identified at least one first channel from among channels for second communication; generate information indicating that the identified at least one second channel is not used for the second communication; transmit the generated information to an external electronic device; and perform the second communication with the external electronic device by using at least one third channel. The second communication is performed in a frequency band which is the same as the frequency band in which the first communication is performed, and the at least one third channel can indicate at least one remaining channel that excludes the identified at least one second channel from among the channels for the second communication.
