Abstract The present disclosure provides an assay device and associated method(s) to facilitate the determination of risk of a subject to develop severe forms of SARS-CoV2 infection. Said determination of risk or genetic predisposition to severe forms of SARS-CoV2 infection employing the assay device and associated method(s) relies on specifically designed CRISPR-Cas system(s). Said CRISPR-Cas system(s) employed in the present disclosure are further characterized by unique guide sequences that enable detection of presence or absence of specific Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) in a sample, wherein the SNPs have a genetic correlation with severe forms of SARS-CoV2 infection. La présente invention concerne un dispositif de dosage et un ou plusieurs procédés associés pour faciliter la détermination du risque pour un sujet de développer des formes graves d'infection par le SARS-CoV2.
