Summary: | An ultraviolet (UV) light test device is suitable for ascertaining the efficacy of a germicidal UV light source. The UV light test device includes a population of viable microbial material having a residual water content of less than five percent. The population of viable microbial material is encapsulated in a container. At least a portion of the container is formed of a UV light transmissible material such that UV light from the germicidal UV light source is able to contact the population of viable microbial material.
Un dispositif de test de lumière ultraviolette (UV) permet de vérifier l'efficacité d'une source lumineuse UV germicide. Le dispositif de test de lumière UV comprend une population de matériel microbien viable possédant une teneur en eau résiduelle inférieure à 5 %. La population de matériel microbien viable est encapsulée dans un récipient. Au moins une partie du récipient est formée d'un matériau transmettant la lumière UV afin que la lumière UV provenant de la source lumineuse UV germicide soit capable d'entrer en contact avec la population de matériel microbien viable. |
