The device includes a base maintained, in use, in register with the support, an upper member for contacting first part of the subject, and an adjustment mechanism for automatically adjusting a spacing between the base and upper member, to align the first part and a second part of the subject in a predetermined alignment. L'invention concerne un dispositif pour aligner un sujet (par exemple un patient) positionné sur un support. Le dispositif comprend une base maintenue, lors de l'utilisation, alignée avec le support, un élément supérieur pour mettre en contact une première partie du sujet, et un mécanisme de réglage pour régler automatiquement un espacement entre la base et l'élément supérieur, pour aligner la première partie et une seconde partie du sujet dans un alignement prédéterminé.
