A clipping system includes a cap, a clip and a control member. The cap includes a channel extending therethrough. A proximal portion of the cap is mounted over the endoscope such that a distal portion of the cap extends distally past a distal end of an endoscope. The distal portion of the channel includes opposing surfaces therealong defining a tapered portion tapering from the distal end of the cap toward a proximal end. The clip is mounted within the cap. The clip includes jaws movably connected via hinges. At least one of the hinges is biased to move the jaws away from one another. The clip is movable relative to the cap between open and closed configurations. The control member longitudinally movable relative to the cap to move the clip between the open and closed configurations. Un système de clipsage comprend un capuchon, une pince et un élément de commande. Le capuchon comprend un canal s'étendant à travers celui-ci. Une partie proximale du capuchon est montée sur l'endoscope de telle sorte qu'une partie distale du capuchon s'étend de manière distale au-delà d'une extrémité distale d'un endoscope. La pince est montée à l'intérieur du capuchon. La pince comprend des mâchoires reliées mobiles par l'intermédiaire de charnières. Au moins l'une des charnières est sollicitée pour écarter les mâchoires l'une de l'autre. La pince est mobile par rapport au capuchon entre des configurations ouverte et fermée. L'élément de commande est mobile longitudinalement par rapport au capuchon pour déplacer la pince entre les configurations ouverte et fermée.
