One disclosed example provides a method for displaying a hologram via a head-mounted display (HMD) device. The method comprises, via a camera system on the HMD device, acquiring image data capturing a surrounding environment by detecting illumination light output by a projector located on a case for the HMD device. A distance is determined from the HMD device to an object in the surrounding environment based upon the image data. The method further comprises displaying via the HMD device a hologram, the hologram comprising a left-eye image and a right-eye image each having a perspective based upon the distance determined. Un exemple décrit concerne un procédé d'affichage d'un hologramme par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif d'affichage monté sur la tête (HMD). Le procédé comprend, par l'intermédiaire d'un système de caméra sur le dispositif HMD, l'acquisition de données d'image capturant un milieu environnant en détectant la lumière d'éclairage émise par un projecteur situé sur un boîtier pour le dispositif HMD. Une distance est déterminée entre le dispositif HMD et un objet dans le milieu environnant sur la base des données d'image. Le procédé comprend en outre l'affichage via le dispositif HMD d'un hologramme, l'hologramme comprenant une image de l'œil gauche et une image de l'œil droit ayant chacune une perspective basée sur la distance déterminée.
