A battery case that is mounted in a vehicle and houses a battery therein. The battery case has: a battery housing unit on both the left and the right in the vehicle width direction; a tunnel section that extends in the front/rear direction of the vehicle between the left and right battery housing units and has an open floor; first truss sections provided on the floor of the left and right battery housing units, respectively, and assembled in an X shape in the planar view; and second truss sections provided in the floor of the tunnel and assembled in an X shape in the planar view. The second truss sections are connected to both the left and right first truss sections.
