Provided in the present application are a beam training method, a communication method and a terminal device. The terminal device comprises an antenna array, and a rotating member for rotating the antenna array, wherein the antenna array is used for forming a plurality of beams having different directions. The beam training method comprises: by means of an antenna array corresponding to a historical orientation, communicating with a first network device by using a plurality of beams formed by the antenna array, so as to execute first beam scanning; according to a result of first beam scanning, determining a first beam from among the plurality of beams formed by the antenna array; rotating the antenna array to a first orientation by means of a rotating member, such that the orientation of a normal beam of the antenna array corresponds to the orientation of the first beam before the antenna array is rotated to the first orientation; and by means of the antenna array corresponding to the first orientation, commu
