Summary:The present invention relates to an extractant and an extraction method for removing color-expressing foreign substances from a colored polymer containing an ester functional group and a method for chemically selecting a polymer containing an ester functional group from a colored polymer mixture and, more specifically, to an extractant capable of effectively removing foreign substances, such as a dye and a pigment, from a colored polymer exhibiting a color by the foreign substances and containing an ester functional group, to a method for eluting most of color-expressing foreign substances by contact with a colored polymer containing an ester functional group while the extractant is maintained at a specific temperature range, and to a method of adding the extractant to a colored polymer mixture to selectively elute foreign substances from only a colored polymer containing an ester functional group and then effectively selecting, through color differentiation, a polymer having the foreign substances removed therefrom and containing an ester functional group.
