An audio control system (1) comprises: an acquisition unit (110) that acquires sound data indicating a sound picked up by a microphone (12) disposed in a second space (202) around a first space (201) used by a person; a storage unit (130) in which sound source data is stored; and a control unit (120) whereby a speaker device (30) disposed in the first space (201) or the second space (202) is controlled so that audio obtained from the sound source data is played back louder in the second space (202) than in the first space (201). The control unit (120) identifies the loudness of the sound indicated by the acquired sound data and performs an adjustment so that the volume of the audio output from the speaker device (30) is reduced in proportion to the loudness of the identified sound.
