A control method for a smart home system, which relates to the technical field of smart homes, and aims to solve the problem of a recommended washing and care procedure being inaccurate caused by the fact that laundry attribute information determined by existing smart home systems is inaccurate. The control method comprises the following steps: a laundry treatment device acquiring a target image; the laundry treatment device sending the target image to a server; the server determining the type of the target image; according to a determination result, the server selectively calling different preset models to perform recognition on the target image, so as to determine laundry attribute information; and when the laundry attribute information is recognized, the server selectively determining a washing and care procedure according to the laundry attribute information. Laundry attribute information can be recognized more accurately, such that a washing and care procedure can be recommended more accurately, thereby
