Summary: | The present invention provides a chimeric protein subunit, comprising the D12 subunits of (a)RNA capping enzymes connected to each other or functional fragments thereof, or a variant having at least 90% sequence identity thereto and having D12 subunit activity; and 2'-O-methytranseferase having a (b)RNA cap structure or a functional fragment thereof, or a variant having at least 90% sequence identity thereto and having the methytransefer activity of an RNA cap structure. The present invention further provides a chimeric protein containing the chimeric protein subunit and the D1 subunit of an RNA capping enzyme or the functional fragment thereof.
