[Problem] To provide an operating device for a vehicle in which the operating position is fixed. [Solution] Provided is an operating device installed in a vehicle and including: an armrest having a tabular main body provided with an upper surface on which the arm of an occupant rests, a front surface, a side surface facing the occupant, and a lower surface; an operation input unit which is provided at the front end of the side surface and which receives an operation performed by the occupant for operating at least one onboard device; a first sensor which is provided at the front end of the lower surface and which detects the finger of the occupant; and a control device connected to the operation input unit, the first sensor, and the onboard device, wherein the control device controls the onboard device on the basis of a signal from the operation input unit in a case where the first sensor detects the occupant, and prohibits control of the onboard device based on a signal from the operation input unit in a case where the first sensor does not detect the occupant. Le problème décrit par la présente invention est d'utiliser un dispositif de commande pour un véhicule dans lequel la position de commande est fixe. La solution de l'invention porte sur un dispositif de commande installé dans un véhicule et comprenant : un accoudoir ayant un corps principal tabulaire pourvu d'une surface supérieure sur laquelle repose le bras d'un occupant, une surface avant, une surface latérale faisant face à l'occupant et une surface inférieure ; une unité d'entrée d'opération qui est disposée au niveau de l'extrémité avant de la surface latérale et qui reçoit une opération effectuée par l'occupant pour faire fonctionner au moins un dispositif embarqué ; un premier capteur qui est disposé au niveau de l'extrémité avant de la surface inférieure et qui détecte le doigt de l'occupant ; et un dispositif de commande connecté à l'unité d'entrée d'opération, au premier capteur et au dispositif embarqué, le dispositif de commande commandant le dispositif embarqué sur la base d'un signal provenant de l'unité d'entrée d'opération lorsque le premier capteur détecte l'occupant et interdit la commande du dispositif embarqué sur la base d'un signal provenant de l'unité d'entrée d'opération lorsque le premier capteur ne détecte pas l'occupant. 【課題】　操作位置を一定させた車両の操作装置を提供する。 【解決手段】　操作装置は、車両に搭載され、乗員の腕を載置する上面、前面、乗員側を向く側面、及び下面を備えた板状の本体部を有するアームレストと、側面の前端部に設けられ、少なくとも１つの車載装置を操作するための乗員による操作を受け付けるための操作入力部と、下面の前端部に設けられ、乗員の手指を検出するための第１センサと、操作入力部、第１センサ及び車載装置に接続された制御装置とを有し、制御装置は、第１センサが乗員を検出している場合に操作入力部からの信号に基づいて車載装置を制御し、第１センサが乗員を検出していない場合に操作入力部からの信号に基づく車載装置の制御を禁止する。
