In various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device may comprise: a speaker; an audio connector; a wireless communication circuit; and a processor operatively connected to the speaker, the audio connector, and the wireless communication circuit. The processor may be configured to: identify, in an audio file, format information related to a format configuring an audio signal; determine the type of the audio file on the basis of the format information; convert the audio file into the audio signal; process the audio signal by using a processing scheme optimized for the determined type among multiple designated processing schemes; and output the processed audio signal to at least one of the speaker, the audio connector, and the wireless communication circuit.
