A method for manufacturing an artificial stone panel and a mould. The method comprises the steps of: 1) installing a backing plate inside a cavity of a forming mould, wherein the bottom of the backing plate is adhered and fixed to a bottom surface of the forming mould, and a gap is formed on a side of at least one of the four sides of the backing plate so as to form a thickened edge of the artificial stone panel; 2) pasting release paper onto an inner surface of the forming mould and an exposed surface of the backing plate; 3) injecting mixed and stirred raw materials into the mould, performing venting, and smoothing the surface; 4) covering an upper surface of the forming mould with release paper and a mesh spacer, and pushing the forming mould into a vacuum high-pressure machine for flat compaction; 5) taking the release paper and the mesh spacer off of the upper surface, covering a cover plate, and making the forming mould enter a turnover machine to be flipped and demolded; 6) removing a sticker from the
