Summary:A battery management apparatus according to one embodiment disclosed herein may comprise: a plurality of balancing resistors connected to a plurality of battery cells, respectively; a common resistor connected in parallel with the plurality of balancing resistors; a plurality of resistor switches connected between the plurality of balancing resistors and the common resistor, and a control unit which calculates a balancing time of the plurality of battery cells and controls the operations of the plurality of resistor switches on the basis of the balancing time.
